Corporate Golf in Cork
Corporate Golf in Cork
For Championship golf in Ireland, Cork is the name of the game!

East Cork is home to no less than seven 18 hole courses, two nine hole layouts and a seaside 18 hole par 3 track, variety is the name of the game!

Cork Golf Club is over 100 years old. Designed by Alister McKenzie of Augusta National fame, this unusual championship course is scenically routed through an old quarry and bounded by the river Lee.

Another flagship course in East Cork has to be Fota Island Golf Club, home to the Murphy’s Open in 2001 and 2002. This championship layout is set amid beautiful rolling parkland, surrounded by mature woodlands.

In addition to a delightful layout, nearby Harbour Point has a very attractive clubhouse. Including an all weather driving range plus one of the largest golf shops in the country, Harbour Point is a complete golfing destination.

Just outside Midleton is Water Rock, an 18 hole pay and play course. Water hazards are a major feature of the back nine and the 12th is appropriately called “Swan Lake” and involves a 242 yard carry over water.

Nearby is East Cork Golf Club, a members club, that also welcomes visitors – the hospitality is legendary. The club boasts many fine holes – particularly on the back nine

Castlemartyr Resort provides a new landmark setting for corporate golf in Cork. A challenging, inland links course with naturally shaped low hills and hillocks designed by world-renowned architect Ron Kirby.

Golf at the seaside town of Youghal presents stunning views over the harbour all the way to Ballycotton lighthouse. Great golf and great views – who could ask for more. If sea views are your scene, then the par three course at Trabolgan should not be missed. Set atop some spectacular cliffs, stray shots often find a watery grave
