FESTIVAL DETAILS 1st & 2nd September 2007
The festival will provide a platform for the exhibition of foods that span all kinds of everything from sauces, spices, herbs, cakes, preserves, gourmet, luxury food from roasted coffees to cheeses, pancakes, yougurts and smoothies. Visitor’s palates will dance with food appreciation and jubilation while visitors themselves can dance on the streets. their talents in coming up with an astounding itinerary of entertainment for all ages. Children will be spoiled by an extravaganza of fun and frolics from balloon artists, jugglers, stilts roaming, face painters, puppet shows and much more while adults can enjoy set dancing, traditional Irish and folk music as well as performances from the brass band, string quartet and music from local artists in the area. Intermingled with this food celebration will be delightful displays of photography, and the Courtyard Centre will host the thriving East Cork craft sector.
